Pregnancy is such a special time in a family’s life, and capturing these moments before a new little one arrives is always a joy. At the beginning of December, I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful maternity session in Calahonda. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect—a golden sunset, the soft sound of the waves, and a wonderful family filled with love and excitement.
This session was all about capturing the genuine connection between this growing family. The couple, along with their little one, wanted a relaxed and natural shoot, and Calahonda Beach provided the perfect backdrop. The warm December light added a golden glow to the photos, making every moment feel even more magical.
We started with some casual shots of the family walking along the shore, enjoying the fresh sea breeze. Their little one was full of energy, running along the sand and playing near the water. These candid moments are always my favourite because they truly reflect the happiness and excitement of this new chapter.
Of course, the focus of the session was the radiant mama-to-be. She looked stunning in a flowing dress that moved beautifully with the ocean breeze. I took some solo maternity shots, highlighting her baby bump with the sunset in the background. The soft, natural light was just perfect, creating timeless and elegant images that she will cherish forever.
I also included some intimate moments with her partner, capturing their love and anticipation as they prepare to welcome their baby. These little moments—the shared smiles, the gentle touches—are what make maternity sessions so special.
